Stuck I'd correct that K2 throw down to about 40-45%.....60% is way too much although their site says that. ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. A.E. |

hmmm, why isn't the drop directly correlated with the throw reduction? ![]() "I have an idea! An idea so smart, my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about." - Peter Griffin -- Want to post a "For Sale" thread? Check out the rules first. |

i thought so web haha mayo if what im understanding by ur question then ur answer is they shouldnt b correlated throw reduction im guessing would mean between gear how far you "throw" from and hight would the the hight reduction is that answering ur question did u think they were the same? because i know alot of people out there think that they can just chop there shifter and its a "short throw" not really it will just lowers it dosent shorten the throw... i may be wrong hahahaha <---dosent know what hes talkin about DOH! ![]() |

Yeah, I was under the impression that the lower the drop the greater the throw reduction. So what else besides drop height affects throw reduction? ![]() "I have an idea! Pivot position is the main point of throw reduction. Change where the throw is actually put into gear, and you can tighten/shorten the overall engangement of each cable. If the cable is stretched in neutral, it'll travel less to engage the gear. ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. Simply shortening the shaft height will only cause a LONGER throw. You will have to reach further to get the shaft into the shift gate. Not something you want to do. A moved pivot point and still rather tall shaft is ideal. You have more leverage due to the longer shaft (won't have to reach as far) and the pivot will keep the cables taught. ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. The shifters are the same for the 07. K2motor.com has the K2 shifters and PM Dr. Isotope for his shifter....I'd recommend them two. ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. A.E. |

Nope...intake is different. You're ok with an 06 shifter in an 07. Same cables, same mounting... ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. A.E. |

And please note, $40 of the price of my shifter is core fee ($80 for the Extreme), which is returned to you when you send your stock shifter to me... so actually, the cheapest package (the Gearswitcher Basic) is only $55 after the core return. ![]() Custom parts for your Scion tC: Doctor Isotope dot Com |

The only package that comes 90% ready for install is the Extreme, which is the same process as installing a TRD quickshifter. The rest require you to disassemble your shifter cage-- just like most other shifters on the market. ![]() Custom parts for your Scion tC: Doctor Isotope dot Com |

Not nearly as hard as people make it out to be. I can do one in about a minute and a half. Much more difficult getting the thing out of the car in the first place. ![]() Custom parts for your Scion tC: Doctor Isotope dot Com |
