Everything u do is at ur own risk

Alright so we have one DIY without using adhesive.. only problem is u dont get the curves in the door panel so im going to do a DIY that involves more but will look better.

Things that I used

Trim Adhesive (To stick the new fabrick to the stock fabrick)
Flat head (small) and Phillips Screwdriver(to get the door panel of the door and to put the door back together after grinding the connection points down)
1/4 inch Pan head Screws (phillips head)
And 1 yard 18 inches of fabric of ur choice thats just wut they had left on the roll for me lol so i took it all

Step 1: you want to get the door panel of DURRRR There are 3 screws u want to remove....

One behind this tab by the door handle open

and 2 behind the doors handle

Once u get those out there are white nipples that push into to door i find it easyest to pull from the bottom first. pop the bottom out and then pop the rest out
This is what it will look like when u get it off ofcorse after u take that stupid cloth thing off no need for that throw it out boo

Wish i had pictures for this part but i dont feel like peeling it off and restarting the project but ill word it out for u all.

Get some sort of drop cloth and lay the panel on it. Get a grinder out and there are a few spots that hold the fabric part to the rest of the door panel, you will see it not hard to pick them out. What i did was get the grinder and gently grind them down till u see a dark circle. This is the dark gray part from the outside panel. You will know wut im talking about once u get there.
These are all the spots here that u need to grind down

once u get those grinded down there are 4 screws u need to loosen up alittle and pop those by the slot. Once u do that u take a flathead screwdriver and pop every spot u grinded down. (is it grinded or ground BAHAHAHAH) now the panel that is fabric should come right out if not then u missed a spot that u need to grind. Now take the panel ur fabric and the adhesive and place the panel on a clean work serface. Spray the stock fabrick with the adhesive, be sure to get enough on there as i found out it sucks when u dont have enough on there. Give it about 10 seconds to dry some and get tacky. You dont want to put the fabrick on there too soon and have some of the adhesive show threw trust me it dosent look good when it does DOH! Place the fabrick on there and stretch it out get all rinkles out. Once u get it to where you are pleased trim the edges alittle i left about a inch to a inch and a half on the edges. I sprayed spots on the back of the panel alittle on the plastic let it get tacky and tightly put the extra fabric on the tacky blue. Now that u got the panel done get ready to put it back in. Set it up and pop the little nipples from the panel back this is when u will need the 1/4 inch pan head screws. In the picture above with the points u need to grind u can see where all the screws are going to go. Basicly every spot u grinded down gets a screw. Make sure u are happy with the way it looks. Remember, u can always change it later if u dont like it. My best advice is to b pacient with it and mess with it to get it to where u like it. Its your tc you want to b happy with it and people to comment your car. This project both sides took me 2 hours I sugest to anyone that hasnt used a grinder befor to get someone that has used one because it can get tight in there grinding.

Any questions ask sorry for the lack of pictures :/

here is the end result

When you take it off is it actually visible that you had adhesive on there?? Because my looks like a snail trail everywhere on the black and not sure how to get it off is I wanted to take the fabric off and go back to the original black.. Maybe goo gone or something I am not sure I just don't want to wreck the factory fabric..

yeah it should b visable that u put adhesive on there not sure how u would clean it. If u have some that came threw on the cloth u didnt spray the adhesive on there right u want alot but u dont wanna spray close keep it back about 6-8 inches. you dont wanna put the cloth on there RIGHT AWAY! if u do the adhesive will soak threw and get wut u called a snail trail and it is ugly i got little spots where u can see the adhesive went threw. You really want to spray it and wait for it to start to dry and get stick/tacky and then put the cloth on there. and dont push down hard more likely for it to soak threw the cloth.

Ooh it did not come through on the pink satin just looks like snails trails all over the original black cloth that I covered.. I got some spray adhesive from the craft store called Crafts Ect Spray Adhesive Acid Free even spray pattern smooth non wrinkling adhesion and it does not bleed through.. There is no visible evidence on the pink satin that it ever had adhesive on it, though on the original black cloth there is.. I guess when the time ever comes to take it off I can try a glue remover..

I bought mine from Hobby Lobby 2.99 per yard I am going back to get more in case I run out and also getting Krylon Fusion.. If you like that material it is a polyester/satin and does actually come in a dark blue.. I am going to tackle mine this weekend will have to most inside my condo bc the downstairs garage is not somewhere where you can concentrate with everyone coming on and out.. lemme know how yours turns out okay..

Well here's a little FYI. Don't use Elmer's All purpose spray adhesive...the stuff will NOT hold up to the summer heat. Mine is already saggy and droopy. Anyone got any suggestions for a spray adhesive that will take on 110* weather?

Way to go b. Any suggestions? I'm thinking I may have to go get a can of the stuff we use for silk screen printing.
